A three-day-old baby girl was on Monday morning found abandoned under a Mugumo tree near SDA church in Ngong Town, Kajiado County.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, the church’s watchman said he heard the baby’s cries at 2.00 am, Monday morning.
At 6.00 am, a watchman guarding a nearby premise called officers from the Ngong police station.
The officers arrived at the scene and recovered the baby who is currently recuperating at the Ngong Sub-county hospital.
Confirming the incident, Kajiado North Sub-county Deputy Police Commander Felistar Mukunjura has said they have begun investigations into the matter.
The baby’s parents have not been identified.
