Three children die after eating poisonous mushrooms in Kilifi

According to the children's mother, she had gone to the farm when her sons looked for the mushrooms, cooked and ate them.

The children later started complaining of stomach cramps and were taken to a healthcare centre in Bamba.

She however noted that she also ate the mushrooms when she returned home but was not affected.

The bodies of the children have been taken to the Kilifi county hospital mortuary.
