Police in Peru are looking for three gunmen who allegedly invaded a shop in the central city of Huancayo and walked away with more than 200 sneakers but were all for the right foot.

According to BBC, the crime is said to be worth Ksh.1.8 M ($13,000) as reported by the owner.

CCTV footage from the shop captured the crime and shows that the criminals broke the padlock on the shop shutter in the middle of the night and made off with boxes of shoes from different brands on a tricycle.

Speaking to the local police Chief Eduan Diaz he told Peruvian media: "We have gathered evidence at the scene. The unusual thing about this robbery is that shoes from only the right foot have been stolen”.

"With the footage and the fingerprints, we will be able to locate those individuals".
