Suspected thief lynched in Githurai, accomplices flee

A suspected thief was lynched and burnt beyond recognition at Githurai 44, Roysambu constituency, Nairobi county, on Thursday.
His two accomplices fled on a motorcycle.
A resident, Susan Owino, said, “There are no metal gates where we live. The gates are made of iron sheets and this makes it easy for thieves to raid our homes.”
The police arrived at the scene later, however, the suspect had already been killed.
The body is yet to be identified as he had no documents on him.
The body was taken to City Mortuary.
Residents have raised the alarm over rising cases of theft in Githurai.
