Suspected Al-Shabaab militants kill five quarry workers in Mandera

Five quarry workers have been killed and two others injured following an attack by suspected Al-Shabaab gunmen at a quarry site in Bur Abor Village, Mandera East.
In the Tuesday morning incident, the assailants ambushed the workers shortly after they arrived at the site at around 7am surrounded their vehicle and opened fire.
While 25 workers managed to flee the scene, the attackers fatally shot five individuals and left two others with serious injuries.
Mandera County Commissioner Henry Ochako confirmed the incident.
