Spotify has introduced ‘daylist’, a tailor-made playlist that auto-updates based on one’s mood changes daily throughout the week.

‘Daylist’ was launched late last year in select markets and the music streaming platform announced its rollout in Kenya on Wednesday.

“This new, one-of-a-kind playlist on Spotify ebbs and flows with unique vibes, bringing together the niche music you typically listen to during particular moments in the day or on specific days of the week. It updates frequently between sunrise and sunset with a series of highly specific playlists made for every version of you. It’s hyper-personalized, dynamic, and playful as it reflects what you want to be listening to right now,” Spotify said.

With ‘daylist’, users will get new tracks at every update along with a new title that sets the mood of their playlist. The feature is available to free and premium Spotify users in Kenya.

It follows last year’s unveiling of an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered DJ that live-mixes music tailored based on a listener’s taste and listening habits.

To find a daylist playlist, search ‘daylist’ on your device. The playlist updates multiple times a day, and you can view when your next update will be from the playlist page on mobile.

One can also save a 'daylist' playlist to their library by tapping the three-dot menu, scrolling down to “Add to playlist,” then tapping “New playlist”
