Former AFC Leopards midfielder Collins Sichenje has completed his move to Swedish giants AIK FC and was unveiled on Wednesday after signing a four-year deal.

He joins two other Kenyan internationals – Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma and Henry Meja Atola – at the club that is currently top of the Allsvenskan standings.

The midfielder’s contract will run through to December 31 2026.

Shichenje admitted his move was influenced by compatriots at the club Ouma and Meja, adding ‘their excellence performance at the club, it was easy for the management to accept me'.

He will wear the jersey number 29.

He previously featured for Greece club PAOK prior to joining Leopards who will earn around Sh5 million from the transfer.

Allsvenskan champions in 2018, AIK have 12 league titles and is the third most successful club in Sweden. The club holds the record for having played the most seasons in the Swedish top flight.
