Siaya: Man dies after alleged stabbing by brother-in-law

A man has died after his brother-in-law allegedly stabbed him following a disagreement in Siandha A village, Gem Yala Sub-County, Siaya County.

The deceased, Fredrick Oyungu Ombima, was allegedly attacked at around 7:30 pm on Tuesday by Wilson Atwoli.

According to East Gem Chief George Salala, the circumstances surrounding the disagreement remain unclear.

Ombima was rushed to Ramula Level Three Hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead.

His body was later moved to Yala Sub-County Hospital mortuary, pending a postmortem examination.

Police have launched investigations into the incident as they pursue Atwoli, who remains at large.
