Shock as man defiles 12-year-old disabled girl

Shock engulfed residents of Tulwapmoi village in Kericho County after a 20 year-old man was arrested for defiling a disabled girl.

Area Assistant Chief Richard Koech confirmed the incident saying that the 12-year-old girl was home alone when she was attacked.

According to Koech, the man invaded the home and defiled the defenseless girl repeatedly.

The Assistant Chief stated that Hillary Rugut was allegedly caught in the act by the girl’s brother.

The boy raised alarm and villagers came to the house. They rescued the girl, and tried to lynch the suspect.

The suspect is being held by police and will be arraigned in court soon.

The victim was taken to Fortenan Sub-district Hospital where she was treated and discharged.

This comes a month after a father disappeared after defiling his own daughter aged between five to seven years.
