Security beefed up as ODM delegates endorse Raila as presidential candidate

Security has been beefed up at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) delegates converge for the National Delegates Convention.

The close to 3,000 delegates are expected to endorse Raila Odinga as their presidential candidate besides ratifying and approving the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition agreement.

1,000 observers from the National Super Alliance affiliate parties and members of civil societies are also expected at the event.

Various issues will also be addressed at the convention, key among them the just concluded ODM party primaries and the formalization of the party’s constitutional amendments.
