On the other hand, the insurance revenue grew from Ksh.7.4 billion to Ksh.7.9 billion.
According to the insurer, its profit after tax went up by 21 per cent, crediting the agents, bancassurance partners and brokers honoured at its Annual Excellence Awards gala for supporting the turnaround.
The insurer further attributed the profits to the integration of Jubilee Allianz and Sanlam General, which it said has delivered a stronger balance sheet and stronger internal capabilities.
This merger, Sanlam Alianz says, enhanced IT systems and processes, positioning the company to deliver a high standard of customer experience.
Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited’s Chief Executive Officer Mr George Kuria said the achievements marked a business that had regained its footing and was ready for long-term growth.
“These achievements reflect renewed momentum in the business and growing confidence in our brand and market approach,” Mr. Kuria said.
“Bringing together deeper expertise, stronger capabilities and broader experience means we can better serve our customers and partners. As we build on this progress, a key priority is growing our SME business with simple, relevant solutions that meet the needs of enterprises in Kenya and enhance our customers’ experience,” he added.
SanlamAllianz has since completed its regional rebrand following last year’s merger, and SanlamAllianz Kenya said it is commited to continued collaboration with its network of agents, bancassurance partners and brokers.
