Samsung Electronics East Africa has expanded its retail footprint in Kenya with the opening of its 24th Samsung Experience Store in Kisii.

The new outlet, located at Naivas Mall and operated by Samsung partner Nexora Agencies, brings the technology company's total number of brand stores in Kenya to 26.

Samsung said the expansion is aimed at tapping into Kisii's growing consumer and business market while increasing access to its mobile and consumer electronics products in the region.

“Kisii represents an important opportunity for Samsung as we continue to grow our presence across Kenya,” said Manish Jangra, Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics East Africa.

“The region has a strong economic base, an active consumer market and a growing need for technology that supports how people live, work, learn and do business.”

Jangra said the company will continue expanding into markets where it sees opportunities to bring its products and services closer to consumers.

The Kisii outlet will offer Samsung's mobile and consumer electronics portfolio, alongside product guidance and other customer services.

The expansion comes amid continued growth in smartphone use in Kenya.

According to data from the Communications Authority of Kenya, smartphones accounted for 63.7 percent of mobile devices connected to Kenyan networks by the third quarter of the 2025/26 financial year.

The increase has been accompanied by growing mobile broadband use, with smartphones increasingly being used to access financial services, education, commerce and other digital services.

Samsung said it is also relying on partnerships to broaden smartphone access, including its arrangement with asset-financing company Watu, which allows consumers to acquire devices through financing.

George Kebaso, EIP Lead at Samsung Electronics East Africa, said financing arrangements are intended to address the upfront cost of acquiring smartphones, which remains a barrier for some consumers.

“Watu has played an important role in our smartphone penetration journey by helping address one of the barriers that consumers can face when acquiring a smartphone, which is the upfront cost of a device,” Kebaso said. The Kisii Samsung Experience Store is now open at Naivas Mall.
