Telco giant Safaricom has announced a scheduled maintenance of its systems set to take place in the wee hours of Monday, April 7.

In a statement on X on Saturday, Safaricom announced that the exercise, which will run from 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., is aimed at enhancing service reliability, safety and overall customer experience.

“To meet our promise to always offer reliable, safe, secure and superior customer experience, we will be conducting a scheduled system maintenance on the night of Monday 7th April 2025 starting from 01.00AM to 1.30AM,” said Safaricom.

The telco added that all M-PESA services will be available intermittently during the 30-minute maintenance window.

However, all other Safaricom services, including voice calls, data and SMS, will remain uninterrupted.

“The timing of this maintenance has been planned to result in the least inconvenience to our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for choosing us as your trusted service provider,” the telco said.
