Ruto allies push for second term in Kisii visit

Speaking during a church service at Mesaria Grounds, Farouk Kibet lauded President William Ruto's decision to remove restrictions on the issuance of national identity cards.

He urged government administrators to ensure that every Kenyan who attains the age of 18 is promptly registered and issued with an ID card. Kibet also called on the Abagusii community to support President Ruto's re-election in the next General Election.

Kitutu Chache North MP Japheth Nyakundi praised the government's development record, saying the constituency has benefited from over 100 kilometres of tarmaced roads, new markets, and expanded last-mile electricity connectivity.

Nyakundi appealed to residents to support both his bid for a second term and President William Ruto's re-election.

He also urged former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i to work together with President Ruto for the benefit and development of the Kisii region.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula urged residents to continue backing President Ruto, citing ongoing development projects in Kisii County, including the construction of the KSh1 billion Kisii Stadium, road infrastructure, and markets.

He encouraged eligible residents to acquire national identity cards and register as voters, saying voter registration is key to determining the country's future leadership.

Echoing similar sentiments, Hon. Innocent Mugabe thanked President Ruto for ensuring development projects reach all parts of the country regardless of political affiliation. He said continued support for the President would guarantee sustained development in the region.

Kisii Women MP Dorice Donya also called on Kisii residents to support President Ruto's second-term bid, saying Kenya needs leadership that promotes unity and inclusive development.

Meanwhile, Martin Pepela urged former President Uhuru Kenyatta to allow the current generation of leaders to steer the country forward, while cautioning against politics that could divide Kenyans.
