Robbery with violence suspect charged after stealing goods worth over Ksh.2M

A robbery with violence suspect has been arraigned at the Machakos Law Courts and charged for allegedly stealing goods worth over Ksh.2 million.

Joshua Wambua Mutua is accused of robbing Kelvin Miriti of a Toyota Voxy, a mobile phone, and Ksh.6,800 in cash, all valued at Ksh.2,442,800 on January 20, 2026, in Machakos County.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Dorcas Endoo, he pleaded not guilty and the court ordered that he be remanded at Machakos GK Prison as he awaits mention on July 2, 2026.

A further probe is ongoing to apprehend Wambua's accomplices, who remain at large.
