Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) Senior Assistant Director of Forensics Joshua Mutua told the inquest on Monday that the footage was subjected to digital forensic analysis, which found no evidence of deletion, alteration or editing.
Mutua said the videos were retrieved by IPOA using a USB flash disk before being subjected to forensic examination.
He told presiding magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo that the CCTV footage and other digital evidence presented before the inquest were in their original form and had not been intentionally manipulated.
The confirmation came as the inquest, which has heard evidence from 30 prosecution witnesses and examined 48 exhibits, formally came to an end.
The parties will now proceed to file their written submissions before the magistrate determines the circumstances surrounding Masai's death.
Masai was shot dead in Nairobi during the June 2024 protests against the Finance Bill, becoming one of the faces of the Gen Z-led demonstrations.
