RESCUE Esports have been crowned champions of the PUBG MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) Kenya 2026, cementing their status as the country's top competitive gaming outfit after two days of intense competition at Mount Kenya University.
The championship, held on 21-22 August at Mwai Kibaki Hall, brought together 16 of Kenya's elite PUBG MOBILE teams in a battle for national supremacy.
RESCUE Esports topped the standings, with RUSH Esports finishing second and No Pressure claiming the third spot.
The victory delivers more than just bragging rights.
All three teams have now secured qualification to the PMGO Africa Regional Final, where they will represent Kenya against the continent's strongest PUBG MOBILE squads.
The continental competition carries a USD 14,000 prize pool, offering Kenya's representatives a genuine opportunity to translate local dominance into regional success.
"This is a significant moment for Kenyan esports," the PUBG MOBILE organisation stated. "Players are transforming their passion for gaming into pathways toward professional careers and international competition."
The tournament highlighted Kenya's growing competitive gaming ecosystem, drawing professional players, esports enthusiasts, and emerging talent onto a shared national platform.
The event was anchored by Infinix as title sponsor, with the tech company positioning its GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone as the device of choice for Kenya's top competitive players.
For RESCUE Esports and their fellow finalists, the continental stage awaits.
