musical associate Dogo Skillz.
The
dreadlocked heartthrob's sleek vocals can be heard on Skillz' 'Light The Roof',
a song which celebrates life, toasts to the good life and dabbles into carefree
excessiveness and beautiful girls.
‘Light the Roof' is a colorful and uplifting addition to Kristoff's discography that
displays his artistic prowess and dedication to expanding the boundaries of
Kenyan music.
The
song’s catchy beat, provocative lyrics, and engaging production will sure make
it an instant smash that is sure to connect with both existing fans and new
listeners.
Produced
by legendary producer Magix Enga, the song embodies sonic influences which
betray Kristoff's wide exposure, refined rap excellence and mastery grasp on
pop music.
The
jam was first performed by Dogo Skillz at the Gemini Lounge, Nairobi, on
Thursday night where the young musical shot caller performed to an enthralled
audience, premiering the song for the first time since its release.
Absent
from the performance was Kristoff, who is now on yet another tour of the US at
the invitation of his label CMG Records.
In the
US, Kristoff is slated to perform at several stops in a tour aimed at further
promoting his 2023 releases as well as boosting the CMG Records' visibility on
the international front.
The
Records' honcho Stephen Desmond Aoll popularly known as Dezz, said that there are
many more projects planned for release as he welcomed his signee with pomp and
glamor.
"We've
got a lot more in store. This Dogo Skillz collaboration is just one of the many
projects we have in store. Kristoff promised that this would be a busy year and
as you can see, we're not sleeping. We're fully in business. Watch this
space," he said.
Dezz's
upcoming musical forays coincide with his luxurious 'Labor Of Love' All White
Cruise party which snaked across the New York City waters with music, champagne
and scrumptious food.
The
cruise, courtesy of Jahazi Entertainment CEO Jere wa Wallstreet, also one of
the minds behind the KWITU group, has been shaking up the entertainment sector
and is slated to host more of such shows.
With
music by popular Kenyan DJ Shinski, the 'Labour of Love' featured an eclectic
mix of opulence, new-money flamboyance and warm camaraderie expanding over 48
hours.
"This
was actually my first such trip to support the promoters and wow, what an
experience! It was an otherworldly experience - just being up there with all
those good vibes, beautiful people, creative minds and fun crew! Absolutely
worth it!" he said.
