Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga has called on mass action within 14 days if heavy taxes currently imposed on products will not be reduced down.

Odinga said mass action will be part of a scheme towards what he called bringing back power to the people as enshrined in the constitution.

The former prime minister who was speaking at Jeevanje Gardens during prayer rally on Wednesday lashed out at President William Ruto and his government for organising prayers which says it is a hypocritical move as Kenyans are struggling with the high cost of living.

“These are hypocrites who flock the church every Sunday but after that they are the biggest sinners,” Odinga added.

Odinga was flanked by several leaders in the Azimio coalition.

He also accused the State for constant harassment on former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and his lawyer Danstan Omari, urging them to desist.

“They have summoned Omari to the DCI and say they want to investigate him. That is a lawyer, he should be left alone to do his job,” Odinga said.
