Quack doctor Mugo wa Wairimu found guilty of drugging patients to rape them

A Nairobi court has found quack doctor Mugo wa Wairimu guilty of running an illegal clinic and drugging patients to perform sexual offenses against them.

Wairimu was arraigned on Thursday, where the court heard that the doctor was administering drugs for purposes of committing sexual offenses on his patients.

Additionally, Prestige Hospital, the clinic he was running alongside a pharmacy, was not registered.

One witness in the case told the court that Wairimu gave drugs to one of his patients, who then became unconscious and when she woke up, she found herself with no pants.

He denied all the charges and was convicted on 12 counts, among them running a clinic that is not registered and administering drugs for purposes of sexual offenses.

The sentencing is set for Monday, November 21, 2022.
