Principal Secretary for Medical Services Dr Ouma Oluga on Tuesday held talks with members of the United States House Foreign Affairs Committee at Afya House to advance implementation of the Kenya–US Health Cooperation Framework signed in December 2025.

The Ministry of Health said the consultative meeting focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration in disease prevention and response, health systems strengthening and other shared priorities under the framework.

Officials also discussed the need for sustained partnership, transparency, accountability and strategic investments to improve service delivery and long-term health outcomes.

The US delegation was led by Brandon Ramsay, a professional staff member at the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and included Allison Cantrell, Dr Sally Okutoyi from the US Department of State’s Office of Foreign Assistance, Leah Hasselback from the US Embassy in Nairobi, as well as senior Ministry of Health technical officials.
