Probe as body of unidentified woman found in River Kuja, Migori County

Police have launched a probe into the mysterious death of an unidentified woman, whose body was discovered in River Kuja in Gogo area, Uriri in Migori County.

Kajulu Two Assistant Chief Charles Onindo reported that the body was found by local residents near Gogo Power Station. 

Onindo explained that the body, which was partially covered by banana leaves, appeared to have been dumped along the river. 

He added that the cause of her death is still unknown, but they suspect she was killed elsewhere and her body dumped in the river.

Police collected the body, which has been taken to the mortuary for an autopsy, as investigations continue.
