Probe as body of unidentified man found dumped in Homa Bay

Police in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County have launched an investigation into the death of an unidentified man whose body was found near River Kuja at Ochol village, Kobita sub location on Sunday evening.

It is reported that the body of the man was found with deep fresh cuts.

According to the area Assistant Chief Joash Osuju, the body of the deceased had fresh deep cuts on the neck, shoulders and throat.

He says that the suspect, who is yet to be arrested, fled the scene while carrying a blood-stained panga.

Osuju addes that the suspect is well known by the villagers while the deceased's identity remains unknown, adding that the suspect is still at large.

Ndhiwa police commander John Losia confirmed  incident saying he has instructed the area DCI to probe the incident and brough the suspect to book.

He called on Community members to volunteer information to the police to facilitate the arrest of the suspect and help in investigation.

The body of the deceased has been moved to Homa-Bay Hospital morgue.
