President William Ruto is presiding over the passing-out parade of newly trained General Service Unit (GSU) recruits at the National Police College, Embakasi ‘B’ Campus in Nairobi.

The ceremony marks the completion of an intensive training programme for the recruits, who are set to join the National Police Service and take up assignments across the country.

Ruto earlier presided over the opening of the Social Health Authority (SHA) Block at the GSU Embakasi Health Centre, Nairobi, as part of his programme for the day.

The GSU recruits recently completed their training at the GSU’s Magadi Field Campus in Kajiado County, where they underwent physical, tactical and other specialised training.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat, during the course closure ceremony at Magadi, told the recruits to remain prepared to serve wherever they are deployed and under varying circumstances.
