President William Ruto has announced a series of changes within the Foreign Affairs, extending the diplomatic reach to 72 nations and territories.

State House Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service, Felix K. Koskei, confirmed the changes on Friday, saying President Ruto had nominated Kosiom Frank Ole Kibelenkya as Ambassador to Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to Koskei, the changes, which are part of nominations for newly established missions and the filling of existing vacancies, also saw the nomination of three new deputies.

Elias Bare Shill was nominated as Deputy Ambassador to Mogadishu, Somalia, while Dr Joseph Warui has been redeployed as Deputy Ambassador to Moscow, Russia. Amb. Mohammed Hussein Nur has, on the other hand, been nominated as Deputy Ambassador to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

"These changes comprise nominations for appointments to newly established missions as sanctioned by Cabinet, and the filling of vacancies arising from the end of tenure of serving diplomats," stated Koskei.

The nomination of the full Ambassadors will now be forwarded to the National Assembly for consideration and approval by Parliament.
