President Ruto is not going to use shortcuts to win: Mudavadi

Mudavadi said the President has no intentions of circumventing the will of the people and use shortcuts to win.

He said Ruto is ready to face his opponents in the ballot and he is a transparent and forthright leader who believes in democracy and the rule of law.

“The President and his party are not planning to rig the elections. His victory will come from the will of the people, democratically and constitutionally. Politicians should stop inventing shortcuts for him that he will interfere with the polls.” Mudavadi warned.

“Ukiwa UDA, ODM ama upinzani na wewe ni mwanasiasa wacha porojo na uongo ati hata watu wamekufa watapiga kura, mara uchaguzi hautakuwa wa haki na mambo ya kupotosha wakenya. Sera na Maendeleo ndio itapatia Ruto kura” Mudavadi added.

Speaking during a Sunday church service in Kapsengere, Nandi County, the Prime CS urged politicians to stop casting doubt on the anticipated victory for President Ruto.

He noted that UDA and ODM under the broad-based framework are working progressively on the petition free victory for President Ruto stating that their grassroots campaigns are yielding fruit. 

“I am emphasizing that victory is coming to our side. Ruto’s win should be respected and not doubted. Ruto is beginning with a 10 million mark against his competitors and they should be ready.” Mudavadi remarked.

“The announcement of 11th August 2027 when results come out will shock even those with plans in their mind to move to court and dispute the outcome of the election.” He added.

Mudavadi stated that the democracy Kenya wants to witness will largely impact on the economy, security and well being of the people of Kenya.

He urged UDA and ODM supporters across the country to continue popularising the broad-based coalition calling UDA members to ensure the President’s popularity within the coalition is not weakened. 

“President Ruto is the leader of the coalition and as a leader his party should not be weakened.” Mudavadi stated.

He called out at the opposition for plotting to sway Kenyans and raise emotions that can lead to unrest over election related sentiments that are not factual.

“Wameanza kuleta emotions ndio walete uhasama na fujo. Cheap politics should not define our democracy and who we are.” Mudavadi warned.

“They don’t know what it takes to run a country. They don’t have an agenda and many don’t even have parties to run with for the Presidency. The lack structures and that is what is making them to panic.

The Prime CS insisted that they are working on continuity and no reverse for the gains that have been made by President Ruto’s administration.
