President Ruto appoints former MP Joshua Kutuny to be Kenya Copyright Board Chairperson

President William Ruto has appointed former Cherangany Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Copyright Board.

Kutuny will hold the position for a period of three years with effect from October 27, 2023.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) (a) of the Copyright Act. 2001. 1. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appointed— Joshua Kutuny to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Copyright Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 27th October, 2023,” reads a Gazette Notice dated October 26, 2023.

Kutuny lost in last year’s General Election to incumbent Cherangany MP Wesly Korir.
