Police said the suspect led them to Sam West in Riruta, where he allegedly sold the phone, leading to the arrest of a second suspect identified as Juma Knoly Omollo, about 23.

Officers said a search at Omollo’s house led to the recovery of electronic items, including eight laptops, four iPads, and 227 mobile phones of various makes.

The recovered phones were listed as 149 iPhones, 39 Samsung, 13 Redmi, three Oppo, five Vivo, five Techno, two Nokia, two Infinix, four Itel, and one each of Google, Ultra 2, HMD, Nothing, Honor and Huawei phones.

Police also recovered 16 dismantled phones, 14 phone covers, a 55-inch TCL TV, a 6kg gas cylinder, and an LG wireless soundbar, the report said.
