Kenya Volleyball Federation League continued with its fixtures this weekend with some crucial and exciting matches being played.

The main focus on the Saturday afternoon was at the Nyayo Stadium Basketball court as the defending champions Kenya Pipeline faced Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

Before their match today, the “oilers” remained to be the only team unbeaten heading to the final round of matches, putting them in a strong position despite having played fewer games.

Despite leading in the first two sets, KCB could not seal an early win against Kenya Pipeline as the “Gallant Girls” proved to be stronger also and winning the third and fourth sets forcing the match to head at the fifth set and decide the winner.

With only the fifth set left to play in the highly anticipated match, Kenya Pipeline continued with their unbeaten streak as they sealed victory in the fifth set with 17 points to KCB’s 15.

The result meant that the Kenya Pipeline remains unbeatable despite playing fewer matches in the current league fixtures.

Pipeline are now set to play another match against the DCI volleyball team tomorrow at the Nyayo stadium and are hopeful of another win as said by their head coach Geoffrey Omondi.

“I am glad for the win today and we continue with the same energy and focus tomorrow, I believe my side will make me proud tomorrow just have they have done today.”

Omondi also noted his side’s positive energy and ability to take instructions in rescuing the game despite the setback in the first two sets of the match.

“The ability of my team to take instructions and change tactic in real time is what has won the game for us today and am happy of their positive energy despite starting the match poorly, they took into action the instructions they were given and though that they have made me proud by bringing the win home,” he added.

Kenya Pipeline are currently unbeaten in the Kenya Volleyball Federation National league in the 2025/2026 season as they are completely dominant in their league fixtures, carrying massive momentum into the final stretch of the regular league.
