Person dies after falling from Aga Khan University Hospital building

Police in Nairobi are investigating a case where a person died after falling from one of the buildings at Aga Khan University Hospital.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the hospital confirmed the incident and said the unnamed individual succumbed to injuries after the fall.

"Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, can confirm that an individual fell from one of our buildings and sadly passed on," the statement read.

The hospital condoled with the family and loved ones of the deceased saying authorities have since taken over the matter to establish circumstances surrounding the incident.

"We are deeply saddened by this incident and extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones," the hospital said.

"The hospital is cooperating with the relevant authorities as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the matter.”

The facility at the same time appealed for privacy for the family, patients and staff as investigations continue.
