Over 200 parents involved in the scholarship row in Uasin Gishu County will record their statements with Eldoret DCI on Tuesday.

The parents, whose children were to benefit from scholarships in Canada and Finland, are now demanding a refund Uasin Gishu County government, as they are no longer interested in the arrangements.

Addressing press in Eldoret town on Monday, the agitated parents said they are suffering a lot since they paid fees for their children abroad yet they are still at home with them.

They blamed Governor Jonathan Bii and Senator Jackson Mandago for what they termed as political games on serious issues that have greatly affected them.

The new developments follow public statements from Bii and Mandago, where each denied responsibility for the scholarship saga.

Last week, Bii distanced himself from the row, asking Mandago to come out and explain what happened.

In response, Mandago refuted allegations levelled against him while asking Governor Bii to take responsibility as the leader of the county.
