There was panic at Kowet Police Post in Siaya County after a large snake believed to have “skin resembling a police jungle” slithered into the report office on Thursday morning.
According to a police report filed at the post, the incident
occurred at around 8:00 am when officers on duty were at the report office.
The officers, with the help of members of the public,
managed to kill the reptile.
“At around 0800hrs, while at the report office, a big snake emerged from a nearby bush and entered the report office.
It was very hard to identify its species since it had skin resembling a police
jungle,” reads part of the report.
“With the help of the
members of the public, we managed to promote it to glory.”
The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers from Siaya later
responded to the scene, documented the incident and took the snake to the archive
for viewing.
