Motorists have called on police to restore order at the Pipeline stage along Outering Road, Nairobi.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, motorists plying the route said the situation is akin to a disaster in waiting.
"The matatus stop right on the highway, making it difficult for other motorists to navigate," a motorist said.
Residents however said, they are forced to board matatus at the spots picked by the public service vehicle operators.
"Since there is no alternative, we are forced to take the risk and board the matatus," a resident noted.
With schools in session, parents have been urged to be on the lookout for their children.
"We urge parents and guardians to ensure that school-going children are safe given the situation on the road," a local trader added.
