At their residency in Nairobi, we find Peter Ouma Okanga, alias Onjiri, and Salet Atieno, commonly known as Just Salet, busy making skits.

This is is part of their daily routine; wake up, come up with an idea, and execute it.

"Content is our passion," Salet says.

She came much later in the content creation industry. Her partner Onjiri has been around for a while.

"I started as an actor. I have acted in different programmes like Machachari and Mother-in-law of Citizen TV," Onjiri says.

Despite their varied experience, the duo has formed a formidable partnership that has seen their content gain traction among Kenyan consumers and beyond.

"We actually don't sit down and write scripts for our skits. We just observe what's happening in society and create content around that," Salet says.

Using their phones, and sometimes the services of content directors, the two act as husband and wife, something their audience is yet to confirm if it's true they are a couple.

Onjiri says content creation in Kenya pays, but you have to be consistent and persistent, even when things don't go as planned.

"We do influencer marketing, we also earn from our social media platforms," Onjiri says.
