One killed after house wall collapses in Machakos

One person has died and another sustained serious injuries after a wall collapsed during a house demolition in Isyukoni Village, Masinga Sub-county, Machakos County.
According to area Assistant Chief Timothy Kivati, the two victims were working alongside a third man when the weakened wall gave way and collapsed, trapping them beneath the debris. One of the men died on the spot, while the second was seriously injured.
The deceased's body was moved to Mbaku Funeral Home in Matuu, while the injured man is currently receiving treatment at Matuu Level Four Hospital.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to establish the cause of the collapse and whether safety protocols were followed during the demolition exercise.
