Nyamira: 50-year-old man mysteriously dies in his house

A 50-year-old man was Monday morning found dead in his house at Gatere village in Nyamira County.

Confirming the incident, area Assistant Chief Elijah Ongera said the body of the deceased, Baranabas Ratemo Migika, was found lying on his bed by his wife who had left the house a few hours earlier.

According to the man’s wife, she left the house at 4am and went to the market to collect vegetables for her business and on returning home at 6am she found her husband lying dead on their bed.

She raised an alarm alerting the neighbours including the area chief.

“The cause of death is yet to be identified but investigations to determine the cause  have began,” said the assistant chief.

The body of the deceased was moved to a local mortuary pending a postmortem to establish the cause of his death.
