The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has given motorists a two-month deadline to collect their physical logbooks, warning that all unclaimed documents will be disposed.

The authority has reminded motorists that physical logbooks are held at its offices for a maximum of six months, after which uncollected documents are subject to disposal.

The deadline follows a public notice issued on June 11, 2026, in which NTSA informed motor vehicle owners that the authority would not retain unclaimed logbooks beyond this period.

Motorists seeking services that require a logbook copy must attach the current or original document to their applications.

“Clients WILL NOT be able to access services that require a copy of logbook without attaching the current or original logbook in their application,” the authority said.

Motorists have been asked to carry their previous logbook and present an ID at the collection center or NTSA offices for verification.

The reminder follows NTSA's shift to a digital e-logbook system on June 10, 2026.

Applications processed before this date still require physical collection, whereas newer requests use digital e-logbooks on eCitizen.

Motorists who need assistance have been urged to visit the relevant NTSA offices, Huduma Center or use the NTSA social media platforms for inquiries.
