NTSA appoints Nashon Kondiwa as new Director General

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has appointed Nashon Kondiwa as its new Director General for a renewable three-year term, effective Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

In a statement by NTSA Board Chairman Khatib Abdallah, the Authority expressed confidence in Kondiwa's expertise to steer NTSA to greater heights. 

Before his appointment, Kondiwa served as the Deputy Director Information Communication Technology at NTSA, where he spearheaded the Digital Transformation of the Authority and its service delivery systems. 

According to the Board, Kondiwa's proven track record at the ICT department will prove key in providing operational excellence. 

“Mr. Kondiwa brings over 22 years of distinguished experience in information and communication technology (ICT), innovation, public sector leadership, Transportation, Intelligent Transport Systems, and digital transformation within the road transport sector,” read part of the statement. 

Kondiwa will now replace George Njao who completed two terms in office.
