Muhoroni Youth will host Kisumu All Stars on Saturday in a derby clash with the sides enjoying contrasting fortunes this National Super League (NSL) season.

Muhoroni sit third on the NSL standings with 41 points, nine behind league leaders Fortune Sacco and APS Bomet who have both played one extra game.

That puts Muhoroni’s FKF Premier League promotion bid well within reach as they strive to return to the top-flight after five years out in the cold.

In contrast, All Stars are locked in a different battle fighting to avoid relegation as they remain only a point clear of the drop zone perched at 16th.

Muhoroni will enter the match off the back of an impressive run of five wins from their last seven matches, conceding only one goal during that period.

The club that is owned by Moses Adagala took the place of the now defunct Western Stima in the NSL league, absorbing all their players and team manager Moses Jobita.

All Stars won the reverse fixture 2-1 at the Moi stadium in Kisumu back in March.
