Kibera Black Stars have intensified their preparations ahead of a tough National Super League (NSL) clash against high-flying 3K FC, with head coach Iddi Badi expressing confidence despite the visitors’ impressive unbeaten run.

‎Speaking to Citizen Digital ahead of the encounter, Badi acknowledged the quality and current form of 3K, noting that the side has gone 12 matches without defeat, winning 11 games and drawing once.

He described the upcoming fixture as a highly competitive battle but maintained that Kibera Black Stars are capable of securing victory, especially with the advantage of playing at home.

‎"We are well prepared to face 3K FC at home. They are currently on a good run after winning 11 in 12 of their outings. They recently beat Fortune Sacco in a derby, but we are also banking on our home advantage heading into the fixture," he said.

‎The tactician said his players are fully prepared and motivated for the challenge as they seek to slow down one of the league’s most consistent teams this season.

‎Kibera head into the match after a 1-1 draw away to Mwatate United in their previous fixture. According to Badi, the result gave the squad confidence and motivation, particularly because they managed to earn a point on the road.

He added that the technical bench has since been working on correcting the mistakes noticed in that match ahead of the showdown with 3K.

‎"Getting a point away from home is not an easy thing, it gave us extra motivation, considering we were playing away from home." He added.

‎With only six matches remaining before the conclusion of the NSL season, Kibera Black Stars currently sit seventh on the standings with 51 points, while 3K occupy second place with 65 points as they continue pushing for promotion.

‎The two sides are set to face off on Saturday at 3:00 pm at GEMS Cambridge Grounds in Nairobi in what is expected to be an entertaining and fiercely contested encounter.
