Two women were Tuesday morning arrested in Kathukini, Machakos County during a crackdown on illicit brew and second generation alcohol.
The crackdown, led by area chief Musyoka Wambua, saw at least 300 litres of illicit brew confiscated and destroyed.
Musyoka said the two women, identified as Betty Ngila and Monica Wambua, were notorious illicit brew sellers and were being investigated by authorities.
The women, according to the chief, have on several occasions escaped from their homes during such raids.
Masinga OCPD, Musua Jumah, said the war against illicit brew will continue until a time when the area will be free of the killer brews.
