Network International, a leading digital payments provider in the Middle East and Africa, has expanded its partnership with Dubai-based airline flydubai to introduce mobile money payments for customers in Kenya and Uganda.

Travellers can now pay for flights and related services using M-Pesa, Airtel Money, and MTN Mobile Money when booking through flydubai.com or the flydubai mobile app.

This move expands payment options beyond traditional card payments, making transactions more accessible and convenient.

The airline plans to roll out mobile money payments in additional African markets, including Tanzania.

Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent) at flydubai, said: "Since launching our operations to Entebbe in 2014 and Mombasa in 2024, we have seen increasing demand from these markets."

"Offering mobile money payments makes it easier for more customers to book flights and access our services. We are pleased to collaborate with Network International to enhance payment flexibility for travellers,” Sudhir Sreedharan added.
