Kenya's finest practical shooters showcased exceptional speed, precision and composure during the IPSC Level III Handgun and Pistol Calibre Carbine (PCC) Championship, which concluded at Hado Shooting Range.
The competition attracted more than 60 elite shooters from civilian clubs, international teams and Kenya's disciplined services. Competitors tackled 18 demanding courses of fire designed to test every aspect of practical shooting.
Ibrahim Ndung'u won the Production Division title, while Pravir Vohra emerged victorious in the fiercely contested Standard Division. South Africa's Johan Otto claimed top honours in the Optics Division, with Kenya's Morris Mureithi dominating the Production Optics category.
Issa Issa secured victory in the Open Division, while Geoffrey Pesa triumphed in the PCC Division.
Agatha Muchiri of the Kenya Defence Forces claimed the coveted High Lady title after another outstanding performance.
Organised under the Kenya Sports Shooting Federation (KSSF), the championship brought together competitors from the Kenya Defence Forces, National Police Service, Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Kenya Prisons Service, General Service Unit and civilian clubs.
Organisers hailed the event as another milestone in the growth of practical shooting in Kenya.
"This year's championship has gone a notch higher, showcasing the growing depth, resilience and professionalism of practical shooting in Kenya," they said.
"There was no room for hesitation or error as competitors raced against both the clock and the targets. The performances of the winners reflected the remarkable depth of talent on display."
Attention now turns to the next IPSC Level III Handgun Championship, scheduled for November at the renowned Bamburi Rifle Club in Mombasa.
