Ndindi Nyoro claims senior Gov't officials behind Kenya-Uganda oil controversy

Nyoro made the allegations while campaigning in Njiru, Kasarani, where he criticised the government over the Kenya-Uganda fuel arrangement.

“Tunajua broker Museveni alisema ni wakubwa wa hii serikali. Wenye G-to-G ndio wanaiba pesa yetu na ndio wanaiba mafuta yetu huko Turkana. Hatutaruhusu muibe utajiri wa Kenya,” Nyoro said.

Nyoro also criticised President William Ruto over his remarks about former President Uhuru Kenyatta, saying the retired Head of State should be accorded respect after leaving office.

“Tumeona Ruto akifungua mdomo akitukana Uhuru. Ruto, ata wewe next year utakuwa retired President. Anza hiyo safari ya heshima kuheshimu Uhuru,” he said.

The PPK leader further said opposition parties were working towards a united front ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“Tumesema hatuna mchezo. Mnasema tusukume, na mimi naambia Ruto tutampeleka siaka siaka,” Nyoro said.

Museveni said Uganda ended the Government-to-Government oil import arrangement with Kenya after discovering that its petroleum products were being supplied through Kenyan middlemen.

According to Museveni, an unnamed Kenyan Senator informed him about the involvement of the middlemen in the arrangement.
