The latter put up a spirited fight but their efforts proved futile as they lost 30-23 to NCPB.
The winners started off strongly against a stunned Ulinzi but lost some momentum as the second period started.
Ulinzi started the second half with a lot of will-power in their bid to come back into the game and compete but the winners picked up momentum again later on and managed to diminish the losing team’s hopes.
“My team has nothing to be ashamed of today. I felt they gave it their all against a very good team. Of course there are some things we need to learn but all in all I am happy with the shift they put in”, said the Ulinzi coach.
The NCPB coach expressed contentment with the work his team put in on the pitch.
“Ulinzi are a very good and competitive side but we were well prepared and that is what helped us today. We stuck to our strategies and had some outstanding players from players like our goalkeeper,” said the winning coach.
