Tanzania President Samia Suluhu has once again called on government officials in Tanzania to protect the country's interests from people she claims are outsiders out to destabilise her country.

Speaking during the swearing-in of new officials at State House Dar es Salaam, President Suluhu, who has been criticised following the arrest and deportation of activists from Kenya and Uganda, insists she is doing her duty of ensuring the country is safe from negative influence.

Naomba mkalinde taifa lenu," she said.
