National Super League (NSL) side Naivas FC will be looking to extend their impressive run of form when they take on Kabati Youth in their upcoming league fixture.

The retail-sponsored outfit heads into the match buoyed by a strong performance in their previous outing, where they secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Luanda Villa. The result marked their third consecutive win and boosted their hopes of finishing the season on a high.

Speaking to Citizen Digital ahead of the clash, Naivas head coach Elvis Ayani emphasized the importance of remaining focused despite their opponents' struggles in the league standings.

Ayani noted that while Kabati Youth are positioned near the lower end of the table, his team will not underestimate them and will approach the match with the seriousness it deserves.

"I thank the boys for the good run. We have won three matches consecutively. We are not underrating Kabati; they are a good team even though we beat them in the reverse fixture. We will approach the game like any other as we aim to finish the season positively, even though we picked up form a little late," said Ayani.

The coach believes another victory would further strengthen Naivas' position in the league and help maintain the positive momentum the team has built in recent weeks.

Naivas currently sit sixth in the NSL standings with 60 points. Although they trail league leaders Migori Youth by 14 points, the club remains determined to finish the campaign strongly and continue applying pressure on the teams above them.

Kabati Youth, meanwhile, are battling to stay clear of the relegation zone. They occupy 16th place with 35 points, just two places above the drop zone, making the encounter crucial to their survival hopes.

With both sides pursuing important objectives at opposite ends of the table, the match is expected to be fiercely contested. Naivas will be seeking a fourth successive victory, while Kabati Youth will be desperate for valuable points in their fight to avoid relegation.
