A woman working as a house help in Murang'a was arraigned in court for allegedly stealing goods worth Ksh. 100,000 from her employer.

Rose Gathoni, 20, was arraigned in court on Tuesday and accused of stealing household items and clothes worth an estimated Ksh. 100,000.

Gathoni appeared before resident Magistrate Dorence Soy where she denied the charges and was granted cash bail of Ksh. 50,000 or an alternative bond of Ksh. 100,000.

The case will be mentioned on October 9.
