Grammy Award-winning musician Mojo Morgan is making a bold musical return this summer with “Dreams,” an inspiring new single that hits all major digital platforms on Tuesday.

A fusion of reggae, rock, and soul, the track is more than just a dancefloor banger—it’s a heartfelt tribute to resilience, legacy, and the power of dreaming big, even in the face of personal loss.

“‘Dreams is for every hustler, every survivor and soul who refuses to settle,” Mojo said. “It’s a declaration that your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from or what you’ve been told.”

The single is the lead release off his upcoming EP titled ‘Jamaica Love’—a deeply personal project rooted in the soundscape of his homeland and the emotions left behind by the passing of his brother and Morgan Heritage bandmate, Peetah Morgan.

“Grief has a way of sharpening your sense of purpose,” Mojo told Citizen Digital. “Losing Peetah, my brother, my inspiration, created a space in my heart that only creativity could begin to fill. Dreams is more than just a song; it’s a vow to carry the torch forward. Every lyric on Jamaica Love is infused with that mission—to honor the sacrifices, preserve the legacy, and turn pain into purpose.”

The project, co-produced by renowned dancehall producer Rowan ‘Droptop’ Melhado, is infused with Jamaican energy but is not confined to it.

Mojo spent months soaking in the streets of Kingston and the warmth of rural Jamaica alongside dancehall star Popcaan. That immersion birthed not only new sound but new perspective.

“The most unexpected lesson was how softness and strength coexist in the streets,” he says of his time in Kingston.

“You see struggle, but also loyalty, humor, and creativity. A kind of unfiltered honesty you can’t learn in a studio. That spirit—that raw, unpolished truth—shaped Jamaica Love into something truly special.”

The EP promises a rich genre blend that Mojo calls Rasta Rock—a hybrid of reggae, rock, hip-hop, country, Americana, and global rhythms.

[Featured on the project are notable voices like Gramps Morgan, Sizzla, Maino, Chronic Law, Popcaan, and even Mojo’s own children and nephew.

“Caribbean music has always been about fusion,” Mojo says. “From ska to reggae to dancehall, we’ve never stood still. What I’m doing is just the next evolution. My roots are reggae, but my wings are global. I believe we can honor tradition while creating something new that speaks to the next generation. Innovation doesn’t mean losing your identity—it means expanding it.”

This spirit of forward momentum also runs through the veins of the Morgan Heritage family, especially in the next generation. With the band’s legacy continuing after Peetah’s passing, Mojo believes the torch is in strong hands.

“Jemere was born for this,” he says of his nephew, who has now stepped into the role of lead singer. “He’s been groomed by the best. Not just as a singer, but as a man who understands what the Morgan Heritage name means. He’s stepping into some big shoes, but he’s doing it with grace, humility, and fire. As an uncle, I couldn’t be prouder. And as family, I know Peetah is smiling down on us.”

For Mojo, 'Dreams' is more than music—it’s a mission. A message. A movement.

“This isn’t just a song—it’s a soundtrack for anyone on the grind,” he says. “It’s for the streets and the soul.”
