Missing 8-month-old baby found,suspected to have been sold by mother

An 8-month-old baby who had been reported stolen from her home three weeks ago at Mshomoroni in Mombasa County has been found.
Speaking to the press, Mombasa County OCPD Johnston Ipara said that police in Nyali have arrested three people among them the mother of the infant, Joyce Wairimu ,who is suspected to have sold the child.
Baby Consolata Wambui was found by police officers in the custody of Margaret Wairimu a suspect who claimed to be her mother at Susumula area in Molo .
Ipara said that investigations are underway to establish how much money the baby was sold for.
Since the baby was reported missing, the family had appealed to members of the public to help them find their missing child and had even put a cash reward of Ksh.100,000 to anyone with information of her whereabouts.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.
